Vikki is a singer songwriter, and fourth generation musician from Jonesboro Arkansas. She is originally from deep within Cajun Country, Port Barre, Louisiana. Her great Grandfather, Dennis McGee is widely recognized as the Dean of Cajun Music, and her Uncle Gerry McGee was a world class guitarist for the instrumental group, "The Ventures". He was also Kris Kristofferson's guitarist for several years, and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Vikki chose music as her career very early in life. She achieved wide acclaim and success in the 90's with her touring band, Louisiana Fire, opening for national acts such as Tanya Tucker, Tracy Lawrence, Mickey Gilley, John Michael Montgomery, Restless Heart, Little Texas and Shenandoah to name a few. Her unmistakeable bluesy vocals can be heard on many recordings from throughout her home state and across the south. She was nominated for Female Blues Singer of the Year by a national publication.
Over the past few years Vikki has been honored as the top musician as named by Occasions Magazine four times. The past few years Vikki has concentrated her efforts on Singer- Songwriter projects and performing many corporate and private events as well as popular venues. She and her husband are a popular duo act, and on occasion collaborate with her three children who are all musically talented as well.
Ask any spectator to a Vikki McGee show and they will tell you, unbelievable voice, entertainer and will drag a full spectrum of emotions from her listeners.
Vikki has two full length Albums, Never Knowing and Two Bottles, on all digital music outlets.
I like to say I didnt choose music, it chose me. By that I mean I truly believe God gave me a talent that was meant to be shared. Ive tried to do that in a humble way and in a way that would be pleasing to him. Ive made so many friends throughout the years in this business and have learned so much from each of them. I feel blessed by that.
